Renault Scenic E-Tech electric is now available to order with the full £3,750 Electric Car Grant (ECG) saving, with prices for the multi-Car of the Year winning family vehicle now starting from £33,245.
Underlining Renault’s commitment to sustainable practices, Scenic is the third Renault vehicle to be eligible for the maximum ECG saving, joining Renault 4 and Renault 5. With Renault Megane and smaller battery versions of the Renault 5 also available with the £1,500 grant, Renault has the most extensive electric vehicle line-up eligible for the grant in the UK.
Packed with useful and intuitive technology, Renault Scenic, features a compact 220hp electric motor plus a 87kWh battery pack for a range of up to 381 miles. It is available in a choice of three trim levels: techno, techno esprit alpine and iconic esprit alpine.
As dictated by Government eligibility criteria, the uprated grant is available on all new orders for Scenic from today. Pricing inclusive of the ECG saving is:
Renault Scenic E-Tech electric techno: from £33,245
Renault Scenic E-Tech electric techno esprit Alpine: from £36,245
Renault Scenic E-Tech electric iconic esprit Alpine: from £38,245
The full ECG eligibility is confirmed following a demonstration of 100% renewable energy use for the production of Renault batteries at supplier LG’s plant in Poland. Once the battery cells and modules have been manufactured, they are placed in Scenic on the production line at Renault’s factory in Douai, France. This is part of the firm’s sustainability-focused Electri-city car production hub in northern France, which meets stringent environmental manufacturing criteria.
Adam Wood, Managing Director, Renault UK, said: “Renault Group was the first car manufacturer to have its decarbonisation targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) back in March 2019, and today’s confirmation of the maximum grant for Renault Scenic, as a result of its battery maker using 100% renewable energy at its plant, is another demonstration of how we have prioritised putting sustainability at the heart of our manufacturing processes.
“In the first three months of 2026 Renault’s EV registrations in the UK grew 87% year-on-year, powered by a combination of the launches of the award-winning Renault 4 and Renault 5 and the growing consumer confidence and momentum built by the government’s Electric Car Grant. Now, 1 in 3 new Renault cars sold is electric, proving that there is a strong appetite for great electric cars that are brilliantly designed, fun to drive, packed with tech and affordably priced.”
