NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The 2027 Nissan Frontier offers more ways for drivers to get the most out of their truck with the addition of a Sport Edition package that caters to drivers headed off road. The new package, available on SV 4×4 and 4×2 configurations, includes attention-grabbing yellow accents both in the interior and on the exterior that help Sport Edition stand out from the crowd, plus the sure-footed confidence of all-terrain tires and additional skid plate protection.
The 2027 Nissan Frontier midsize pickup truck is offered in numerous configurations to meet the needs and desires of customers, with King Cab (S grade only) or Crew Cab body styles, a choice of either a 5- or 6-foot bed, and four well-equipped grades: S, SV, PRO-X and PRO-4X. The 2027 Frontier also offers Dark Armor, Sport Edition and PRO-4X R packages for customers to further personalize their truck.

Sport Edition brings PRO-4X-inspired design, features to popular SV grade
Nissan’s long heritage of building ruggedly capable vehicles for off-road use continues to inspire Frontier owners to adventure beyond the pavement. Now there are more ways to equip trail-ready looks and additional features to make journeys off-road accessible, right from the showroom floor. For the 2027 model year, the Nissan Frontier SV grade adds a Sport Edition package (available on SV 4×4 and 4×2 configurations) that includes black off-road-style 17-inch wheels wrapped in 265/70R17 Hankook Dynapro all-terrain tires, an aluminum skid plate, LED fog lights and front accent lighting.
Visual changes for the Sport Edition package are inspired by Frontier’s popular PRO-X and PRO-4X grades, starting with a black lower front fascia, grille and mirrors, complemented by “Sport” bedside and tailgate badge. A durable black upholstery scheme features high-contrast yellow accent stitching.
Expanded availability of all-terrain tires unlocks new adventures
The 2027 Nissan Frontier Sport also adds All-Terrain Tires, allowing drivers who intend to journey off-pavement to opt for the added control and confidence of those tires directly from the dealership. This expanded offering answers the call from Frontier drivers who aim to do more with their trucks, whether for work, when pursuing their hobbies at the trailhead or exploring on light off-road trails.
Frontier PRO-X and PRO-4X grades also add a Moonroof package with the Convenience Package, giving customers greater flexibility to select the specific standalone features they desire on their truck.
New color, enhanced wireless charger further elevate 2027 Frontier
The 2027 Nissan Frontier adds a new Alpine Metallic paint option to its color palette this year, offering a sleek new look. Frontier’s exterior color choices also include Red Alert, Tactical Green Metallic, Afterburn Orange, Gun Metallic, Boulder Gray Pearl, Super Black, Glacier White and Bluestone Pearl.
This year the wireless phone charger in the PRO Convenience package has been upgraded for faster, more consistent charging. It features the Qi2 standard, using magnets to help ensure the phone is optimally positioned for wireless charging, and integrates a fan to help keep the device cooler for longer.
Dark Armor, PRO-4X R packages offer personalization options
To give drivers more choice, the 2027 Nissan Frontier continues to offer the compelling Dark Armor and PRO-4X R packages.
Dark Armor, available for SV grade, gives Frontier a sleeker, subtle appearance with a gloss black grille, exterior badges, mirrors, interior trim accents and headliner, plus Dark Armor-specific gloss black alloy 17-inch wheels.
The PRO-4X R package offers enhanced capability for off-road use, with more aggressive 265/70R17 Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme all-terrain tires equipped on 17-inch off-road wheels, a leather-wrapped shift knob and titanium-finished accents for the truck’s grille inserts and skid plate.
